Amazon Sellers May Need to Change Product Manual Settings

Sellers who want to upload product documentation to Amazon product detail pages will be limited beginning January 29, 2024. Amazon said that in an effort to standardize product listings – and to make it easier for customers to find information about products – it will no longer support certain document types:

“From January 29, 2024, you won’t be able to upload or edit the following unsupported document types on your product detail pages: 2D CAD, 3D CAD, Application Guide, Brochure, Comparison Chart, Compatibility Guide, FAQ, Size Guide, Specification Sheet, and Product Documentation.”

Customers will still be able to view unsupported document types that already exist on product detail pages. However, on February 26, 2024, any unsupported document types will be removed from product detail pages and Seller Central, Amazon explained.

Sellers should either “move” information from unsupported document types to the product description, or re-upload content to a supported document type. For example, Amazon said, an “Application Guide” could be transferred to a “User Guide.”
