Amazon’s Prime Day is a rising tide that is beginning to lift all boats. This year’s event was a catalyst behind 30% growth across all U.S. e-commerce, yet Amazon itself remained conspicuously quiet about its own specific growth figures. The four-day event generated $24.1 billion in industry-wide online spending, according to Adobe, but Momentum Commerce’s analysis of $750 million in Amazon transactions revealed just 4.9% growth for the platform itself.

Amazon and several third-party vendors issued nationwide recalls for various children's products, including safety gates, crib bumpers, dressers and play yard mattresses. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reported that the products, sold exclusively online on Amazon.com, posed hazards such as suffocation, entrapment and tip-over injuries. Each recall notice urged consumers to stop using the affected items immediately and offered refunds for products that are destroyed and documented with photos.

It's an Amazon nightmare. Imagine hundreds of oversized packages appear on your doorstep -- and you have no clue why. You never ordered them. Yet, the shipping spree to your street continues for more than a year. That's what happened to a San Jose woman. Many fathers told us they're feeling burned out trying to excel at work and be fully present at home. I get it. As a dad of two young kids, I do my best to be an active, present, and equal parenting partner. But I also see, every day, just how much of the heavy lifting my wife does.

Canada’s competition watchdog secured a court order to help its investigation into whether Amazon.com Inc. is abusing its dominant retail position in the market. The order requires Amazon to produce records relevant to the watchdog’s probe, which started in 2020 and concerns Amazon’s Marketplace fair pricing policy. The Competition Bureau is investigating whether the policy discourages third-party sellers from offering products at a lower price on other sites — therefore lessening price competition among online marketplaces, according to a statement.

When the sisters behind 3 Farm Daughters were growing up in Grand Forks, North Dakota, a region known for its nutrient-rich black soil and robust agricultural community, it wasn’t unusual for Annie Gorder, Grace Lunski, and Mollie Ficocello (nées Sproule) to help out their parents by bringing out food to the fields or accompanying them on equipment ride-alongs. While they all left their hometown to pursue higher education, the passion for entrepreneurship eventually brought them back to start a business that sells pasta with the high-quality wheat flour and semolina that their family has long cultivated on Sproule Farms.

Amazon is especially popular with scammers because it has so many users, and people tend to trust the platform with their money and personal information. Most scams begin with the victim receiving a spam call or text or phishing email. The content of the message depends on the nature of the scam being run, but it’ll almost always involve a supposed issue (like an expensive recent purchase) or an opportunity (like a lucrative job offer).
