Amazon is raising fees for sellers who use its fulfillment services to store their inventory and deliver their orders to buyers.


Thousands of new sellers are joining the Amazon marketplace every day. For over five years, the figure has remained virtually unchanged. According to Marketplace Pulse research, more than 2,000 new sellers have joined Amazon’s twenty global marketplaces every day since 2016.


This week the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ruled in favour of Amazon shareholders having a vote on whether the company will sign up to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

    A Wall Street Journal investigation from 2020 found that Amazon employees have used third-party seller data from its platform to benefit its own private label products, a practice the company has denied engaging in.
