Amazon Sellers Attorney, a lawyer-supervised suspension appeal service, announced today that three arbitrators sitting in three different states in arbitrations against Amazon.com (AMZN) have stricken section 2 of Amazon's Business Solutions Agreement, which allows Amazon to hold funds indefinitely if they suspect the third-party seller sold inauthentic products, holding that it is not enforceable and ordered Amazon to release the third-party seller's funds.

Brazil, Mexico, and Australia are Amazon’s fastest-growing markets. Amazon’s web traffic has nearly tripled in Brazil in three years, and in Mexico and Australia, it more than doubled.


The e-commerce giant is reportedly slapping “frequently returned” notices on products that consumers tend to ship back back to Amazon. The company is also advising shoppers to check item details and product reviews before pulling the trigger.


Omnichannel” has been an aspiration for brands for many years now, but while it used to refer to the merging of a retailer’s brick-and-mortar and ecommerce operations, it now means something very different. According to Amazon, the new feature lets merchants receive deposits of up to $1 million in 24 hours, rather than waiting three to five business days for transfers to go through. In addition, the company says Amazon Pay’s integration with hundreds of banks and credit unions means merchants won’t need to wait for the money to transfer via the ACH network.


Amazon accelerator Pattern, for example, expects its base of clients in the Middle East to jump by 50% this year. Other experts told Modern Retail that as governments in the region continue to make the area more attractive for businesses, it has become a more lucrative — yet relatively untapped — entry point for Amazon sellers.

Digital marketplaces continue to gain significant momentum in Australia, with 88% of shoppers buying from a digital marketplace in the past year, and 92% of consumers planning to shop on marketplaces like eBay, Amazon and Catch in the year ahead.


Amazon told sellers in an announcement on Thursday, “It’s time to prepare for Prime Day 2023,” although as usual, it did not reveal the dates of its major annual shopping event expected to take place in July. Note that last year, it also held a second Prime Day event in October called the “Prime Early Access Sale.”


An influential consultant for Amazon sellers admitted Monday to bribing employees of the e-commerce giant for information to help his clients boost sales and to get their suspended accounts reinstated.
